Narasimha Parvatha & Barkhana Falls Trailwalk
Narasimha Parvatha and Barkhana Falls, a part of the Mookambika wildlife range located in the Agumbe region, provide a picturesque view of the vast jungles of Western Ghats. Narasimha Parvath, the tallest peak of Agumbe is around 7 hours distance from Bangalore. The trail to the peak takes us through the varied landscapes ranging from an easy muddy trail to an inclined moderate grassland stretch towards the peak. Many streams and brooks flow around the trail during the monsoon/post-monsoon season.
The below video clip was taken from our previous visit to the Barkhana falls located around 7km from the starting point of the trail. The Sita river of Agumbe narrows down, plunging into the gorges to become the Barkhana Falls.

Awsome experience nd enjoy a lot with all new friends
ReplyDeleteNarasimha Parvatha trek trek was one of its kind experience. Going through the wilderness among tall trees and stumbling upon the different types of unseen vegetation as well as wildlife was quite an experience. Grasslands in the later part of the trail was amazing to look at which stretched all the way into the horizon having breathtaking beauty. The trek was very well organised kudos to Sharath and we were received by the hosts at our homestay with amazing food and a comfortable place to rest. It was a great experience and enjoyment throughout.
ReplyDeleteTrek to Narasimha Parvatha was one of the best ways to end the decade. The natural beauty of forest and the hilly grasslands made it a wholesome experience. Cheers to the alpha group for organizing such a great trek. Looking forward to more such treks.
